What Other Chiropractors Say

Matthew Bennett

'For patients who struggle with posture when on a device or reading the Eyeprone is a great relief. Lying down on your front rests the neck muscles and reduces pressure on the joints.Still being able to see a device or a book means patients are much more likely to use the Eyeprone'

Jake Cooke

I came across the Eyeprone when looking for solutions for patients with severe neck pain. Sometimes they can't find any comfortable positions when sitting or standing. The pain can be maddening. The Eyeprone is a great option. It allows people with severe neck pain to still be productive or simply relax. The ability to switch between standing, sitting and lying is a great feature that encourages regular movement, which should aid prevention and recovery.'

Brian Hammond

"I am a chiropractor and an osteopath. I came across the Eyeprone and thought it was a wonderful idea for when you are on holiday and laying on a lounger. It would make it easier with less strain on your neck to read or use your iPad/phone whilst lying face down'

"As a Chiropractor with over 30 years experience I consider the Eyeprone to be a breakthrough through. We need to change the way we think about the workspace and the concept of proning is revolutionary. As a chiropractor I can easily understand the benefits."

I have been practicing as a chiropractor for 32 years and for some time I have thought a device that allows patients to work face down would be useful. The fact that the Eyeprone is also adaptable to work with a seated or standing position makes it more useful, as changing position regularly during a working day helps to reduce fatigue and muscle tightness. I think this product will help alleviate many people's neck pains.

Peter Dixon

"As a Chiropractor for the last 40 years I have witnessed the steady increase in neck issues related to the use of computers and especially hand held devices such as phones and tablets. This is emphasised at this time of the year as we read lying on sun beds and for students studying for exams. I believe that the Eyeprone provides a solution to Tech Neck by helping relieve pressure on the facet joints and discs in the neck when reading, and I think that this will be a game changer."

The Science Behind EyeProne

Intervertebral discs have a poor blood supply

Blood supply and healing go together and discs do not recover quickly because they are relatively dry. Discs hydrate, bringing nutrients in, overnight - when you are non-weight bearing

Discs dehydrate, squeezing waste out, during the day - when you are weight bearing. A bit like a sponge absorbing water. This is a very inefficient mechanism for metabolism - so discs heal slowly.

Healing can be promoted by lying down for periods of time and putting your disc through another metabolic cycle
